Isn't this top incredibly pretty? Imagine it under a dark grey jumper to add some "real colour" to this seasons trend colours.
I would love to order it but the US seller charges 34 USD for shipping!!!
However, if there are two other fashion-lovers who are interested in ordering it too we could share the shipping costs!
The total costs would them amount to £13 each top only! (Add postage if you live outside of England, Scotland or Wales)
Write me quickly if you're interested

Folk Beauty

Ever since a bought a folk-style skirt on sale a year ago I'm totally obsessed with fashion in Folk-Style. But the colours have to be pretty strong and bold, no pastel, as this make it look to cutie-innocent, and you end up *really* looking like a girl from Smallville when in fact you're aiming at looking like a Folk-Queen

Velvet

Hottest fabric this a/w season? Velvet! Its' classy, feminine and strong at the same time - which makes velvet *the* Folk-Queen fabric!
Actually, velvet strongly reminds me of persian cats, the short haired ones that is.I love cotton velvet skirts in blue and purple and I adore the crushed velvet dresses in burned red showed below!

Lobster and Swan

I love this page Lobster and Swan. The blog has such beautiful pictures, I could spend hours and hours looking at them and dreaming..
And the ruffles necklace, I made one of these myself this morning - the blog is such an inspiration!

Tutorial: How to make a face cleansing oil

I make all my cosmetic products myself since last year so in this blog I will regularily share recipes with you. It's fun, all natural and you pay much less than you would in shops for a very often much better quality. And it's easy too!

Here's the first tutorial: I just love the face cleansing oils from Shu Uemura or Organics, so I decided to make one myself.
In my experience this cleansing oil is suitable for practically every skin type. If you have mixed or oily skin I'd recommend sticking with the grapeseed oil. If your skin is sensitive leave out the essential oils or perfume oils.
Also wonderful as shower oil for baby soft skin.

You'll need...

1. A jug to mix the ingredients in
2. A scale
3. Grapeseed Oil (alternatively Jojoba, almond, peach, apricot or sesame oil)
4. Plantapon (you can get it here Soapkitchen) or Base Moussante Douceur (you can buy this here Aromazone) (You can take other surfacants, but make sure they can be used for hair and body and contain approx. 30% active ingredients)
5. Perfume oil or essentiel oils of you choice (I picked Ylang Ylang and Tangerine)
6. An empty bottle to fill in the finished product

First step

Turn the scale on, place the jug in the middle, pour 150 gr of the grapeseed oil into the jug.

Second step

Add 34 gr of the surfacant (Plantapon or the Moussante)

Optional step
I always add 5 gr of Cranberry seed oil (Vitamin E) and 5 gr Glycerine (hydration) to the mixture, but the cleansing oil is also fine without it.

Third step
Add approx 10 drops of perfume oil or essential oil - my all time favorite is 8 drops of tangerine and 2 drops of Ylang Ylang. I've got the impression that the smell intensifies over the day, so start with small amounts of essential oils. You can always add more later.

Fourth and last step
Pour the mixture into the empty bottle and close it - done!!!
The oil tends to separate itself from the rest in the bottle, but a bit of shaking suffices to mix it in with the rest again.

How to use: Squeeze a small amount on your wet hands, then wash you face using your hands. Repeat once. All clean :)

Beautiful Kingfisher Charm

Just the other day I received a charm as a present from a good friend.
It's a kingfisher and it just looks amazing. I've put it on a narrow velvet ribbon which I wear as a necklace. It's sooooo beautiful. A bit searching through the internet later I found out where it was from: Bonaroca

It's in German, but, well, nearly all Germans speak basic English

And doesn't it look very similar to the original?

I'm thinking about getting the key charm too. Any thoughts about that?

Wanted: Chanel Jade Green Vernis des Ongles

I am totally in love with Chanel's new limited edition nail polish in jade green
chanel-jade-nail-polish-11

Apparently it's sold out already and Ebay sellers now made big money. I just had a look on Ebay and this color gets auctioned off for 70 English Pounds!
I wonder whether there is an alternative to the Chanel nail polish though. Maybe on the American market? I should have a look, I'm so amazed by the color. *sigh*

I found a tutorial on how to make ruffles

I found this wonderful tutorial on how to make a ruffle neckline the other day on cucumbersome. I haven't tried it yet, but I think it sounds easy enough and I definitly use it to update my wardrobe Folk-Queen-like. Check it out here: Ruffles-Tutorial

In the Mood for Ruffles

Ruffles, ruffles, ruffles everywhere. I just can't get enough of them, as you can see here:

Sadly, Yesstyle, the shop who sells the ruffle dresses, only stocks rather small sizes, but I am definitely planning to get the pretty vase in shabby look for my own birthday next month ;-)

In A Minty Mood

I recently discovered polyvore and this is the first time that I actually tried it out. Given my current (or: alltime?) obsession with the colour mint I thought that mint should be the theme of my first creation there. Here's the result:

Hope you like it
